Chuck walked over to where the Black Lake was and pulled out his wand. Determined to be better at class, he tried to remember a spell."What was that Mending Charm?" He thought. "Was it Flipendo? No wait, Dana from the wand shop told me. Think Chuck, think."
He couldn't remember so he just attempted the spell he had in his head; Flipendo.
"Here goes. Flipendo" He said, pointing at a twig. For some reason, Chuck fell backwards as something shot out of his wand.

When Alexis left the Forest she herd a voice of a boy, she followed it and it headded to the Lake where she met Samatha and Mell. When she saw the boy, the boy fell. "Oh! Are you alright?" Alexis said to the boy while helping the boy to stand up, "Here's your wand, its shot...what happened?" said Alexis to Chuck feeling very Concern.
"You're trying a spell right? Do you know a lot of spells? Actually....i don't know any spells , well i-i-i mean i don't because.......i'm a.....Muggleborn.....uhm..Sorry i forgot to introduce myself i'm Alexis Lyn Amazon, most of my friends here is Alexis but i'm trying to let them call me Alex. I'm a First Year,Muggleborn, A Gryffindor" Alexis said to Chuck.
When Alexis talked she sat down somewhere near the lake, waiting for Chuck to talk.

"The name's Charles Luminon. You can call me Charlie or Chuck or Charles or whatever. I don't really mind. Anyway thanks.I was trying out the Mending Charm" He tried to think about the spell and remembered that Dana said the spell was Reparo. He slapped his forehead. "Oh never mind. I tried to cast the Mending Charm and that's how my wand exploded." He said scratching the back of his head. He wanted to attempt it again but he didn't want to embarrass himself.
Then a snake appeared in the Forbidden Forest. Though blurry, he was sure it was a snake, even if it was far away.
"Hey, Alex. Look, there's a thing in the Forest."

Alexis kept looking at the lake while listening to Charles. "Charlie? Isn't that a name of a girl? I'll call you Charles instead" Alexis said to Charles with a half smile. "Can you teach me the Mending Charm? I mean there is a Library but the Professor there is busy for now" She said to Charles, very interested in learning the charm spell.
When Charles said something about the Forest she stood up and took a look at the forest, she also saw a Snake, She figured out that the Snake was trying to find her. She didn't know what to do, the Snake crawled closer and now it's in front of her. Alexis hid in the back of Charles, "Charles, are there any chances you could do a spell that could make a snake go away?" Alexis said to Charles.

The snake was getting closer. It was seemingly headed for Alex. 'Why was it headed for her? What has she done? There's something about this girl' Chuck thought. Although wondering, he was panicking as the snake came slowly closer. "Uhh, hopefully this works, Alex." He took out his wand steadily, making sure not to make any sudden movements. Chuck for some reason wasn't interested in the snake. He was interested in what to do next.
He pointed his holly wand at the slowly, slithering snake and said, " Flipendo." He was determined and felt that maybe the explosion could warn away the snake, but instead of an explosion, a small ball was shot at the snake. The snake was knocked back and Chuck was astonished. Thinking quickly, he shouted, "Run!" and ran, hoping Alex would follow.

When Charles said the spell Flipendo, the snake was shot. Charles said to run, Alexis tried to but the snake was hissing, feeling very angry at Charles. "Charles go! run! I'll follow you later...." She said to Charles. Then Alexis came close to the Snake then hissed quietly, She hissed "Go....you shouldn't have followed me....ok fine i will go and meet you...but only you....and don't you dare hurt my friend, remember you are nothing to me at all" . Then the Snake left.
She turned around and took a look at Charles "It's gone now....and i don't think it'll bother any of us anymore.Hey Charles, can you talk to snakes?.." Said Alexis to Charles.
After alexis spoke, she sat closer to the Lake and waited for Charles to talk.
She stood up and took a look at Charles, "Maybe

Chuck ran and saw Alex shout, "Charles go! Run! I'll follow you later." Chuck thought about what to do. Panic coursing through him, worry; concern. He saw her hiss something to the snake. Chuck then saw it. She's a parseltongue. She can talk to snakes. Chuck thought about what she was doing. Even though she was kind of scary to him, Chuck wanted to be her friend.
Chuck had a surprised look on his face. The snake left and Chuck saw Alex turn to see him. "It's gone now....and i don't think it'll bother any of us anymore. Hey Charles, can you talk to snakes?" Alex said to him.
"S-s-sorry I'm just kind of freaked out. Don't worry, I'm still your friend." He said, giving her a smile. "I-I can't speak to snakes. I suppose it's a gift being able to do .... you know ... that." He smiled and felt calm. 'Maybe this girl isn't so bad, even if she can speak to snakes'.

Alexis smiled back at him. "Why wouldn't anyone be freaked? Even i would.....I even thought you would run away, because of the Snake. Is it possible to a muggleborn...i mean without parents who can talk to snakes or have history of being a wizard. N-n-not that i could...Ugh! who am i kidding....you saw me... You know....it's just i hate snakes, they try to come close to me everytime they see me and wizards always notice me....i guess i am wierd....and if you want me to leave i understand that" Alexis said to Charles
'Who am i kidding? why did i say that? maybe...this is really me...a wierd girl who wants to fit in but can't because of Snakes' Alexis tought as she looks at the lake.

Chuck felt sorry for her as she spoke. 'She's a cool person. Maybe there's the parseltongue thing but that doesn't matter right? We're both Muggleborns. Friends no matter what right? I hope I'm right.' He thought.
"I'm a Muggleborn too, though I know lots about the Wizard World. Not as much as a Pure blood but enough to get by." He told Alex with a smile. He knew Alex thought he would leave, but Chuck didn't want to.
"I'm probably not as freaked out as another would be, but I'm not sure. I don't usually say,'Hey, have a snake I can speak to, because I talk to them.' No offense though."
'Even with saying 'no offense' it probably was offensive.' Chuck thought to himself. He slapped himself in the forehead and said," Sorry. What I'm trying to say is that even though you're a parseltongue - a person that can speak to snakes, it doesn't matter, Alex." He hoped she would stay his friend.

Alexis felt a little comfortable with what Charles said. "I'm a muggleborn and I didn't study about this world so much....I just....let it go I mean in our world, I was having a lot of fun, I'll miss my friends and all so I didn't have time to study and my parents didn't know anything about it, I can't also research because sometimes mythologists are liars...I mean not like...ohhh! You get it!" Alex said to Charles.
She ponytailed her hair for a while, she keeps looking at the lake. "What you said is really offensive to me....but its fine, I mean not perfect in every way and in every world I will be. And thank you for making me comfortable. It's just I want to fit in here but since Snakes go and talk to me when I'm with someone...I just think it'll be weird and Miss Dana Wendale, the shopkeeper, said I should keep it to myself.... Hey Charles you've been standing since I talked to you....aren't you going to sit down?" Alexis said to Charles

Chuck took Alex's offer and sat next to her. He didn't want to offend her. She was a cool person. 'What do I do? I hope she survives the school years. I have to be her friend. it's what a Hufflepuff does.'
"Hey, uhhhh you know what, forget about the whole snake thing. It's done. Gone. Finished. Disappeared. Well unless another appears." Chuck said with an unsure face now.
"Never mind. Don't worry about it. How about we try and learn a spell. I can't cast the Mending Charm because I've never tried it. I've always accidentally said Flipendo, but I don't know what that spells real effect is."
He thought about it and remembered the different spells. It pushed a vase at the wand shop, pushed Chuck backwards just a few minutes ago and knocked back the snake that was following Alex.
"That's it! It's the Knock-Back Jinx! Here's what you do, or what I did. Pull out your wand and point it at me. I'll be your target for now since we haven't really got anything. Then say Flipendo."

Alexis thought 'Maybe he's right but I personally think they will come back until I listen to them but for now, maybe I should focus on my spells for a while. '. "Charles, don't worry I had a deal with the snake and he won't bother you anymore...well...that doesn't go for me but it'll be fine with it as long as only you, me and miss Dana knows my secret..." Alexis said to Charles. She stood up, and pulled her wand out. "Ok wand show me what we can do" she said to her wand. 'Do I really have to hit him? What if he gets hurt? I might get into trouble...but still I need to focus ...' she thought...
She was very nervous of what will happen, she didn't want to hurt anyone at all and dosen't even know what will happen. 'This is the real me so...i need to do this..here goes' Alexis thought. Alexis stood up straight, ponytailed her hair, and pointed her wand at Charles. . "Flipendo!" Alexis shouted

Chuck saw Alex's focus as she pointed her wand at Chuck. 'Come on, Chuck. You can take this. Wait a sec. Aren't you getting hit with a spell?' Chuck thought to himself kind of worried. 'You know what, it's alright right? What are friends for? I can take a spell. I need to if I want to duel.'
"Flipendo!" Alex shouted and the same small blue ball that was shot at the snake was shot at Chuck. The spell was as if air was hitting him and he fell backwards. Although it kind of hurt, he had an excited look on his face.
"That. Was. Awesome! Alex you were brilliant! Absolutely fantastic!" Chuck said as he got himself up off the ground. "Even I couldn't do that! Oh my goodness!"
Chuck was so amazed by the magic done by Alex.
"Now if a snake bothers you, you can just cast Flipendo." Chuck said with a smile. "Sorry if I'm so overly excited about this, but it's just that I love dueling. Even if I have only read about it. It's when two or more wizards fight with spells. I know it's a bit scary, but I just like it. Oh and by the way, ouch." He joked

Alexis felt worried, guilty, and proud. When Alexis said "Flipendo" a small blue ball came, Alexis didn't know why it happened, she got shocked, but she did it. The ball hit Charles and he fell. "I'm sorry I didn't know what would happen, I'm really sorry...." Alexis said.... 'I don't know why I feel weird in this world, nah I know....I'm not used to what I'm doing...' She thought.
Alexis was surprised that he was happy even if he's hit. 'I guess it's what friends are for.... even if hurt....' She thought. "Thanks I guess...I didn't even know that was going to happen and what will it do....and its fine...it's just like passing the exams..." Alexis said. Charles said "Oh and by the way, ouch." Alexis felt guilty for hurting him. "I'm sorry I'm so sorry....what hurts? Maybe we should go to the clinic or somewhere like that....are you injured? Or what?...I'm really sorry" Alexis said feeling very guilty and concern.

"Oh and by the way, ouch." Chuck joked. 'Huh? Why is she feeling guilty?' Chuck thought as he saw her expression. 'Oh no. I shouldn't have said ouch. It didn't hurt that much. I don't think I broke anything anyway.'
"I'm sorry I'm so sorry ....... what hurts? Maybe we should go to the clinic or somewhere like that ......... are you injured? Or what? .... I'm really sorry." Alexis said. Chuck saw the guilty expression in her face.
"No, I was kidding Alexis. You were great. Better than me really hehe." He said scratching the back of his head. "I bet you'd do great at a wizard duel. Don't feel worried or concerned okay? It was just a little spell, don't worry." Chuck said, trying to make her feel better.
"Anyway, uhhh do you like to learn Charms and Spells?" Chuck said trying his best to change the subject."I wish the Librarian wasn't very busy. It'd be cool to read the wonderful books inside the Library wouldn't it?"
