{{OOC: I'm working on my roleplaying presentation for this site--my posts appear slightly different on other sites, if you know who I am ;). But the idea's all the same. Anyways, this is currently open for all--don't hesitate to jump in! And just so you know, I roleplay with a poem that kinda explains how my character feels, or thought about. Sometimes I don't include it, though. Today I have writers block, so this might not be as good/long as I wanted it to be. Proceed with caution XD I should rap up my message to you, but the part where I kinda call for help IS AT THE BOTTOM.}} Wandering through these halls Yet surprisingly appalled By the diversity of all difference Here in the land of silence Finding all alike Here in the land of flight
Rosalind North was lost. And it was quite wonderful that she got lost today; the day after sorting--how delightful, how great! .... And to add to Rosalind's dismay, she was sure to miss supper. "Supper is the most important meal of the day, dear," her mother had used to say. "Eat as much as you can--or you might just wake up in the middle of the night just because of your rumbling stomach." Rosy turned a left and found herself by the same funny smelling tapestry by some shiny knight armor. She stifled a groan. 'Where am I?' 'Probably somewhere in the Fourth Floor, Rosy-kins.' she echoed to herself in her mind. 'Don't call me that!' she turned around another corner. Weird. She had just told herself.... to don't call herself Rosy-kins? She was seriously loosing her mind. 'I'm you, Rosy-girl!' 'No, you're just my conscience. Or maybe my curiosity.' 'I'm both and you!' 'Okay, fine. I'm going to shut up now, m'kay?'Rosalind skidded to a stop by another tapestry--thank god it wasn't the odd smelling one. She walked over to it. 'Well, it kinda smells weird as well.... but I'm sure it wasn't the one before. Plus, the only knight around here is the one across this wall.' She spun around. And there was the knight, in it's so-called glory. She whooped in relief. "YES!!!" Rosy said happily. She flashed back to yesterday, after the sorting feast.... or whatever they had called it. That nice Head Boy was herding her and the other first years to their common room.... The Head Boy grabs everyone's attention by clapping his hands. "Come along! Ravenclaws, follow me!"
The first years follow silently along with the rest of the students. The Head Boy turns a left and they see a portrait of a little girl in a short white dress; she bows and smiles at all of them. They take a right turn and see a knight and further on at the other side, a tapestry......Rosalind was already responding as soon as her memory replayed in her head. She took a left turn--if you wanted to reverse your steps, you really and physically need to. Then she took another left. She found herself stuck in the odd smelling tapestry corridor. Yet again. She had made obviously made a mistake. She cursed under her breath. It was finally time for Plan B.... which, according to Ms. North, probably one of the worst, cliche plans in the entire history of magical evolution. "HELLPPPPP! Is there someone here? I'm a first year and I need to go to the Great Hall!!!" Know-It-All Rosalind North cried out loudly. She bit her lip and doubted that this wasn't a very good plan. She slumped down on the wall. "Anyone?" Ms. I-don't-need-any-help Rosalind tried again. 'Tut, tut, tut; what happened to Work-Alone Rosy?' 'Why can't you keep quiet when I tell you to?' How insane. {{Words=472}}

Samantha walked through this hall...for at least the millionth time. It all looked the same! She didn't even know what floor she was on, let alone find the stairs to go down..or up...where ever she was. Maybe, she's on the first floor so there is no stairs? No wait...then there would have to be stairs going up. UGH! Admit it...you know your lost The little voice inside her head chimed. She shook her head. I'm not lost...I know I'm not lost. I just..I know where I'm going. Nnnooo....you don't.... Samantha chewed on her bottom lip, trying to ignore the pest that was called the voice inside of her head that won't ever ever ever take a day off.
Her shoes echoed throughout...wherever she was and she could just here the call of someone saying they were a first year. That wasn't the voice was it? No...the voice wouldn't taunt her like that...it wouldn't. She sighed, her voice head thing had been good all day long, the lake with Alexis, The forest with Alexis, the Great Hall with bunches of people it had shut up! And now...it decided to come out. Great. Just Great. Samantha looked around, searching for whoever was calling. Where were they?

{{OOC: Sorry for the late reply! This post is kinda short thanks to a stupid mistake I made when replying. Also, I may not be on too often, but I'll be sure to reply a few paragraphs .}} I'm trapped by my own conscience It seems like I want to be
"Hello? Is someone there?" Rosalind was sure she had heard some footsteps nearby. And it wasn't just her imagination--she was one hundred percent certain that someone was with her here in the fourth floor. Rosy's head perked up as the echoes had slowed down. "I'm here!" she called again. She shakily stood up. Funny, Rosalind North wasn't the nervous type. 'So you've decided to get help, huh? You're giving up, huh?' said her voice inside her head.... but it wasn't really hers; to start with. 'And I thought you were the lone wolf Rosy-kins. Tut-tut-tut.'
'I thought you were worth more than that.' That was really not her; or her conscience-curiosity. Even if it was her voice, it was different. It dripped with sarcasm, the voice. It was just a faint whisper, but it did twice the emotional damage to you, but that depended who you are. And Rosy here is not that kind of witch. 'Aww, shut up.' she thought in her head. 'What do you think you are?' 'Oh, Rosy's trying to fight back, yes?' 'Umm, I'm trying to get to the Great Hall; are you going to help me with that?' 'No. I'm not your map. But the person here with you can. Look for her and you will find her.' 'What are you, some kind of oracle?' 'No. Again, I'm not an oracle, or map. I'm Sarcasm. Duh. Obviously.' 'I'm looking, now!' "Ughhh. Sometimes voices in your head can be absolutely wonderful, can it?" Rosalind muttered to herself, peering around a corner. "Hellooo? I'm in the weird-smelling tapestry-thing and the shiny knight corridor!" she snorted and laughed at what she said afterwards. 'That was stupid. There are tons of tapestries here. And they all smell weird.'
'Yup, you are stupid. Why do you smell tapestry anyways? You must be perfecting the art of tapestry, eh?' a whisper piped up in her head. {words= around 303}

Ninps enjoyed wandering around Hogwarts, there were so many secret passages and secrets to find, both good and bad. Right now she was wandering around the Fourth Floor, stopping to stare at the many tapestries and suits of armour dotted around the corridors. She had always loved History even as a young girl, and was still waiting for Hogwarts: A History to be available from the library. The corridors were unusually quite for this time of the day, but when Ninps checked her watch, she found t was actually supper time. You're hungry, aren't you. Just go down to the Great Hall and eat. a voice inside her head told her. "Shut up Ninps." she scolded herself. Ninps knew that she often talked to herself, but unlike others, she didn't see this as an act of madness.
Suddenly, she realised that wasn't just herself that she could hear. Another girl's voice joined her own. Ninps shut up and listened. The girl sounded like she was a first year like Ninps who was calling for help. 'She must be lost.' she thought sympathetically. Then the girl described that she was in the weird smelling tapetry and the shiny knight corridor. Well that narrowed it down. 'Well, I guess I'll just have to skip supper today and follow the sound of her voice.' Ninps thought, happy to help, but disappointed about missing supper.

{{OOC: Hello :).}} Rosy stayed still and listened to the sounds echoing all around her. There was something.... or someone new around here. This was good.
'I guess so, Rosy-deary.' She closed her eyes and leant on the wall. More footsteps, and probably another person. 'Make sure it isn't that old hag Filch and his demon cat, eh?' Rosalind peeked around another corner. "Hello? Someone here?" her voice echoed and bounced back to her from the corridor walls. 'Hopefully Sarcasm is right--there must someone here,' she pondered to herself. She stiffled a another laugh as she peeked around some more. She had actually spoke in a casual manner to her sarcasm and her conscience like they were people; there must be something wrong about that. 'Am I sick?' 'HEY ROSA-GIRL! I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!' "You here?" she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. 'No. I'm IN YOUR HEAD. And I'm TALKING TO YOU.' Ignoring the voice of sarcasm, she skipped back to her sitting spot. She would have to wait until someone came by; it was then she would ask directions. 'Why not ask me?' a more Rosy-voice said in her head. Conscience. 'You are me, remember? Since I don't know where to go, you won't either.'

Ninps wandered the fourth floor corridor wondering where this girl could have gotten to. After five minutes of aimless walking around, she noticed she had herself gotten lost. Great. That was just perfect. Tapestry after tapestry, suit of armour after suit of armour, no more of the girl's voice after no more of the girl's voice. Ninps came up with two solutions, either A, the girl had given up in calling for help and was still trying to silently get out of this floor, B, she couldn't here the girl because they were so far apart from eachother, and she was still in fact calling out desperately for help, or C, the young girl had escaped the floor and was currently tucking in on supper. 'Wait a minute' Ninps thought to herself, 'That's three options.' Well that was clever wasn't it? A Ravenclaw that can't count up to three. It's actually quite embarrassing. The voice in her head was at it again.
Suddenly, Ninps heard something that made her feel a lot better. The girl's voice. 'Hello? Someone here?' She must have heard Ninps coming. By judging how loud the voice was, Ninps came to a conclusion that the girl mustn't be too far away. Thinking that it wouldn't donher any harm, she called out to the girl. "Yeah, hello! What can you see around you, I'm trying to find you!"

Samantha walked through the hallway, eyes darting all around. It was dark except for the occasional lamp on the side of the wall. "HHhheeelllllllooooo? " She dragged the word out, searching for a girl to reply so that she could find the sound. As if. The sound echoed around here. She would have to find the girl....by pure luck. Which wasn't very common in her life. "Anybody here!?" Of course someone's here stupid! She thought to herself. She heard another voice, that sounded just a tad different then the first. Were there two girls up here? Down here? Where ever she happened to be? Samantha walked aimlessly around, eyes darting from wall to wall hoping some kind of light would help her guide where she would go. Was the girl still walking around? Or was she staying still? If the girl had any kind of brain she would stay still. "OW!" She yelped, falling backwards as she slammed into another person. "Good going!" She snapped as she tried to regain her balance.

"Heyyylloooo?" Rosy called from her sitting spot. As her mother had always told her, whenever you're lost, stay in one spot. You've got about less than ten percent chances that you'll never get found.
"Ummm.... 'llo?" she said loudly again.
'Awww.... shut up, Rosy!' a mocking voice moped. 'Don't be mean sarcasm. Both of us are Rosy-girl... and that means you're teasing yourself,' a kinder voice echoed this time.
'Oh, no,' thought Rosalind sarcasticly, 'Please do keep quiet.
'Let me think about it.' 'Me too! I'm thinking!' '... you must be thinking 'no,' good conscience, yes?.' 'Nope-ity Nope.' 'Yeah. So NO.'
Rosy groaned at herself. This wasn't going to be a good wait.
"Hello?" she listened closer. There was a funny sound nearby. Kinda like.... someone falling?

Ninps just kept walking along the corridor, when she suddenly noticed that it had got considerably darker. She checked the time, she had been wandering the corridor for an hour now and the girl’s voice didn’t seem to be getting any closer, and despite the fact that she could hear the girl’s voice, she didn’t seem to be able to hear Ninps’. Right now, the girl seemed to be aimlessly shouting out greetings to whoever might be able to hear her. ”Heyyyllooooo? Ummm…. ‘llo?” Poor thing. She must really be starting to get scared now. Not only was it a maze on the fourth floor corridor, but now it was getting dark? Not the best conditions for when you’re lost. ”Hellllooooo! Can you hear me?” Ninps yelled out at the top of her voice. Surely the girl must have heard her now… Suddenly, she heard another voice join the sort-of-conversation, one she actually recognised. Her mind flashbacked to the Great Hall earlier. It was Samantha’s. ”HHhheeelllllllooooo? Anyone here?!” So Samantha was lost too. Oh great. Her voice seemed quite close actually, and whether that was a good thing or not was an entirely different question. Suddenly, she bumped into someone, who? She didn’t know. ”OW! Good going!” Oh great. She had bumped into Samantha. ”Samantha? I’m so sorry, it’s just it was dark, and I couldn’t see where I was going, and I didn’t see you!” Ninps just hoped the fellow Ravenclaw would forgive her.

She had to step back a few steps before she could actually stand straight again, but she didn't actually fall. That was good. She blinked for a second, thinking she knew the voice that know spoke in a rushed apology. Yes. She knew that voice. It was from..uhm...it was from..somewhere from today. Oh yes! The Great Hall, one of the many people she spoke to. Lemon? No. Ninps. Yes it was Ninps. She actually quite liked Ninps's name, it was pretty cool. Another's girl's voice, the first one from before sounded into the darkness. "No no! It's okay, I didn't see you either." She took a deep breath. "I'm going to assume that both of our luck is really bad at the moment and you're also lost. Correct?" She was actually quite glad that she had bumped into Ninps, at least she wasn't all alone now in the halls. In the dark, they were kind of scary.

[ooc: Grr. Sorry for this belated reply . School was killing me.] "Hello?" Rosalind asked loudly once again. Her voice echoed all around her. "Someone there?" she had heard a thump somewhere in the gloom. It was definitely someone falling. Rosy pressed herself even closer to the wall, deeper into the shadows. She was out of the commonroom late at night--forget what the seventh years had said about the dark not being scary! Boy, you couldn't even see anything! Rosalind could not see a single student, professor or ghost floating around the corridor. Even if anyone did pass, how were they to see Rosy? "Hello?"

Ninps didn't know how late it was now, but what she did know was that it was very late, she could feel the darkness closing in on her and Samantha. Right now she could hardly see her surroundings it was so dark. She really needed to find the lost young girl and get off this floor and to the common room. Then she heard Samantha talking to her.
"No no! It's okay, I didn't see you either." Well, at least it sounded like Samantha had forgiven her. "I'm going to assume that both of our luck is really bad at the moment and you're also lost. Correct?" So she was lost too. What a weird coincedence. "Kind of. I was just walking around when I heard someone crying out for help, so I followed the sound and got lost. What about you?" In the distance she heard that young girl's voice calling out again, this time more desperate than before. "Hello? Someone there? Hello?" Ninps just hoped they would find her soon.
