Ninps shuffled uncomfortably own Diagon Alley, partly because of the amount of books she'd just bought; both for studying and pleasure and partly because she was chlostrophobic. Suddenly she heard an unfamiliar noise. It was an owl hooting. She'd grown up in the city, so was unaccustomed to hearing owls. Then it clicked in her head that this must be the pet shop. Ninps entered the shop and looked around in awe at the sight of all of the animals. She remembered reading that students at Hogwarts were allowed at cat, rat, toad or owl. She didn't really like toads (too slimy) or cats (in her opinion evil creatures), so she decided to go for an owl. Ninps also remembered seeing pictures of barn owls at her old school, they were so cute! Her eyes were just skimming across the shop when they settled on the most beautiful barn owl. She walked over to it and it peered at her with wide, innocent eyes. "Excuse me? Can I buy this owl please?" she asked the nearby shopkeeper.

Davis had just finished dusting the counter. He could be really finicky when it came to it, most people weren't like, specifically men, but he couldn't help it. He turned to the sound of a girl, she asked about an owl. Wow! They were sure selling a lot of owls. He would have to order in some from out of the country if he wanted to keep up with the demands for owls.
Davis walked over to where the girl was standing, and peered into the cage of the owl she wanted. "Well, you sure picked a sweetheart." He opened the owl's cage and stayed very still as she climbed onto his hand as if on command. She had been here a while, so she knew the drill. 'But', Davis thought to himself. 'Little did the owl know, that this time would be different.' "That will be six galleons." He told the girl.

Ninps reached into her pocket and drew out 6 galleons. Luckily, she had just enough money to pay for it, she would have to stop at Gringotts to withdraw some more galleons. She handed the money over to the shopkeeper and thought 'Wow, finally I've got my very first pet! I wonder what I should call it.' Ninps carefully took the owl with a beam on her face and placed her in a nearby cage. She had always loved animals, nut had never been able to have one herself. Holding the owl in the cage with one hand and balancing her books in the other she thanked the shopkeeper and left the shop.
