With her wand being carried in her purse, and a smile on the girl's face, she cautiously entered the pet store, still not sure what she'd get. Definitely not a toad or rat, but a cat or an owl?
Owls had use. they could send messages back and forth, and that made them simply amazing, still, didn't Hogwarts have owls that you could borrow? Cats were nice, furry, loyal, could be kept in your dorm, and simply cuddly...Cat it was.
Eyes quickly scanned the area and the girl quickly set her sights on the cat cages. A few were there. A mother and a litter of kittens, with the mother being white with brown eyes, and the kittens being various shades of gray and black, eyes varying from yellow, to green to blue. No, she couldn't take the mother from the kittens, and she definitely wasn't taking a kitten to school. It wasn't trained yet.
The next cage she saw was a scruffy looking black tom, with green eyes. Another no. He hissed at her open approach, and she didn't plan on taking an aggressive cat either.
After that, the final cage she saw held a medium furred, white cat that was spotted with a patch of brown tabby, and had large, golden eyes. The feline purred upon Evvie's approach, and brushed against the cage walls, as though to rub against Evvie herself. Evvie found herself smiling at the cat, and was dead set on getting her.
"Umm...Hello? Shop keeper? Could I hold this cat?" She asked, curiously, and happily. Today seemed to be a good day so far.

Davis turned from selling an owl to a girl who was talking about snakes. Hmph. It stumped him why she would ask that sort of thing! A smile spread across his face, he was forcing it there. "Why hello! This cat? Oh sure. She's a beauty ain't she?" He scooped the cat out of the cage, holding her in his arms for a few seconds before handing her into the girls arms.

The shopkeeper smiled, and Evvie found her own grin turning nervous, still it was kept there at being allowed to hold the bobtailed feline. The shopkeeper handed it to her, and the small white, patched feline rubbed its head against the girl, purring like a motor.
"I'll take her," Evvie said, her grin widing once more, "How much is she?" She began to hand the cat back, seeing the confusion on its face, but this was a mere procaution. She didn't want to drop the cat on accident when she went to grab the galleons out of her purse, now did she?

Davis quickly cradled the cat as the girl gave her back. He held her in his arms while talking to the girl. "8 galleons." He said, happy that this cat had finally found a home. Glancing over at the rest of the cat cages, he fretted for a moment. Hopefully those kittens would find homes. "Ok...well lets go get you a carrier to carry her in."

Evvie smiled, she had just a few galleons more then the 8 she was about to buy. Probably enough for a nice looking ribbon for the cat. Her hand plunged into her bag, and quickly scooped out the needed amount in order to purchase the cat with, and offered them up.
"Thank you so much!", she said, grinning, "I'm going to call her Ribbon." Evvie planned on stopping at a place she knew that sold enchanted ribbons next, and purchasing an enchanted ribbon that wouldn't tatter, rip, or tear. A bright pink one that she could could loosely tie to Ribbon's tail. It'd double as a toy and an accessory for the young cat most likely, and would be an easy identification for while she was in the school.
{ OOC If I could get one of those non-shredding ribbons, I'd put one on my IRL cat. He looks handsome in pink. xD Sadly, he'd be ripping it in a few seconds. It wouldn't hurt him unless he decided to eat the remains, but a waste of ribbon probably. }

Davis nodded happily. Another pet going into another loving home. "That's a cute name." He said, smiling. He took the galleons and put them in the register, letting the cat crawl into the carrier. Turning, he took out a starter bag that came with every animal, they were to ensure the buyer had everything they needed for their new pet. It was a new addition and he liked it, it meant there was a better chance the animal had of having a really good life! Davis handed the carrier and the started back to the girl. "Well...Here you are!"

Evvie took the carrier, smiling. A new pet, and a new wand, and she'd be heading to Hogwarts soon! What better day could she possibly have then today? She uttered another thank you, before hurriedly heading out the door in order to purchase one of those ribbons for Ribbon, before the shop closed. It was getting late, and she knew she'd need to hurry home afterwards.
