Samantha walked into the wand shop, but her confidence was quickly shattered. It was so overwhelming. There were shelfs and wands everywhere! She couldn't think of..anything really. She just stood at the entrance. She walked slowly and mindlessly to the desk at the back of the huge room. Her semi wavy silvery black hair bounced at her shoulder blades. Each step of her boots sounded like a mountain was falling over. "Hello? Is anyone here?" She called, slightly shaken.

Dana turned around at the sound of another voice. “I thought I heard someone come in” She smiled at the girl who had walked in admiring the large collection of wands. “Let me guess, you’re here to buy a wand, huh?” Dana smiled and pulled two off the shelves both from very different places in the store. She pulled the first wand from it’s box, it was slender and had a light red tint, “This wand is made from a redwood tree, with a gryphon feather” She then lifted the lid to the second wand it was deep black in colour. “This is an ebony wand with a phoenix feather core”

With a smile Dana rested on her elbow which was placed on the counter. “Why don’t you try them both out and we’ll see which one suits you, you’re a hard bet to place, the sorting hat’s got its work cut out.” With a soft and well mannered chuckle, Dana finished and waited for the girl to try the wands.

Samantha watched as the shop person took out two wands. She gave a small smile, reaching for one of the wands. She grimanced at her fingernails, they were chipping with purple paint. She took the black one, and flicked it, unsure of what to do. Sparks went flying. She set it down carefully. She took the other one and sparks went flying again. She set it down again.

Samantha moved her black bangs out of her face, revealing her baby blue eyes. She picked up the wand that was made out of redwood again, and flicked it, concentrating and hoping she would do better. She smiled her hair flew backwards a little bit from the wind she had made, happy for the success. Samantha paid, happy and content. Now on to get a pet, she couldn't bring her snake and was sad. But maybe she would find the right pet at the next store.

Dana smiled happy and excited she had chosen the right wand for one of the girls “There we are” She chuckled and clapped her old hands together “All we had to do was wait for the right wand to come along and try it again, eh?” She held a large toothy smile and watched the girl leave her shop. “Don’t be gettin’ into any trouble up at the school” She smiled and laughed pleasantly, then sighed somehow missing her young childhood at Hogwarts.
