Slowly, and cautiously, the girl entered the building, bell ringing from the door as she did so, startling her slightly. Strong startle response much? Quickly, she regained her cool and went the rest of the way into the shop, eyes glancing over each of the small, thin boxes. Each and everyone continued a painstakingly hand-made wand. The thought of someone having to make each and every one of them simply amazed her. Who had the time to make them all?
She shook her head, trying to get her thoughts back on track. Her mother had sent her out to buy a new wand...More so just to get her out of the house, but it was supposed to be a treat. The hand-me-down her mother had gotten her just wasn't doing it any more. it was time for Evvie to get her own wand.
"Hello?" She asked, in a low, nervous voice, her bright blue and green streaked, blonde hair contrasting against the rest of the shop.

Dana could make out a voice in the main section of her shop, she was beginning to doze off, so much she didn’t even hear the bell ring on the door. She took cautious steps out then she realized it was only a student. “Here for a wand?” She questioned though most often the only reason students entered the shop was to get a wand.
Dana gave a slight laugh and smiled. “You seem like an oak person, oak is one of the strongest types of wood, you know that? Dana slipped a dark coloured box from the shelf, and slid it onto the wooden counter, “It also has accents of clover for good luck.” Her shaky hands opened the box and slid the wand over towards the girl. “Why don’t you try it out?” She smiled.

Evvie, who had seemed to zone out to a point where she was just staring at the boxes had become extremely startled when she heard the voice of another, and jumped, eyes wide, though quickly settled herself. Yes, definitely a strong startle response.
"Oh, hi," she said, smiling nervously, "Yeah, I am." She quickly looked at the box that the woman had brought out, then back to the woman, "Really? That's interesting."
Her hand extended toward the wand, and her fingers gingerly wrapped around the handle. She quickly flicked her wrist, and papers went flying, causing Evvie to pull back immediately, set the wand down, and try to pick them up, "Sorry, sorry, sorry!" She quickly stacked them up and put them back on the counter, "Errrrr, maybe that isn't the right wand."

“No, I didn’t think so either” Dana gave a quick sharp laugh, it was a rare that she ever gave a student the wrong wand and though rare it did happen, which lead her to thinking maybe she was getting older and losing her “touch” so to speak, she quickly shrugged the notion off and began thinking scanning the boxes on the shelves, noting the empty spaces where wands had already been purchased.
“Perhaps an arched willow wand for the gentle and kind” Dana pulled an old box from a shelf in the back corner of the room. “Try it out, love, see what happened” The older woman encouraged the girl slipping the lightly colored wood from its dusty box.

In another seeming cautious movement, Evvie reached out, her fingers curling around the wand, and she flicked her wrist, watching the tip of the wand for action. Pleasantly, pastel colored spark sprung from the tip, and Evvie smiled.
"I think this is the one," She said, "How much is it?" She began to reach into her purse and grasped a few galleons in order to pay with.

Dana smiled, quite pleased with the arrangement, "I'm glad we've found the right wand for you, it's not every day you get a new wand and I can only imagine how excited you are" Dana placed the wand back in its box to give to the girl, though she didn't expect the girl to have much want for the box, it only collected dust from sitting in the shop all day.
"It'll be five galleons, please"

Evelynn quickly fished five galleons out of her purse, and handed them to the shop keeper, quickly. She was excited, and couldn't wait to officially own her wand. She carefully grabbed the box after paying, and looked at it, smiling. She'd keep the box. It wasn't that large, and would be nice for keepsakes, after all, it was a pretty big memory itself.
"Thank you so much!" She quickly said, grinning, before making her way out the door and preparing to head to the next stop on her list. The pet store. She already had her books, her parents had bought them a few days ago, and now, she only needed the pet she'd take with her.
