Someway or another, Italia was lost. No, more than that, hopelessly lost. She was supposed to be a Gryffindor, but even Gryffindors sometimes got frightened, maybe of snakes or spiders, but not of trees. It was just they were looming over her head and creaking in the cool, evening air. She shouldn't be here, especially not at night. 'Ok, calm down. Just try and retrace your steps and hopefully you'll find your way out again' Italia thought, in a state of sheer panic. Ok, so a tleast she wasn't that far into the Forbidden Forest, only a few minutes out of the perimeter, but the question was, which direction should she go in?
Ok, so here's how it all had happened. She was reading by the lake, and she had decided to stretch her legs and go for a walk. So Italia started walking in any direction, knowing she would have to get back to the common room soon. However, she had started walking aimlessly in the wrong direction, towards the forest. Unluckily (or luckily for avoiding detention) a teacher or prefect hadn't spotted her enter the Forbidden Forest. And now she was lost...

Emily love the forbidden forest, she’d be in there loads of times and she never really considered what was so forbidden about it, sure it was dark and there were many “dangerous” creatures but if you didn’t bother them most of the time they didn’t bother you. “Probably just a liability kind of thing” Emily had found her favorite path the one that went to the edge of the lake and sloped through a valley of trees. Emily was nearing the lake when she heard a sound from behind her. She spun around quickly to see another girl. From her robes she was in Gryffindor as well.
“It’s beautiful out here isn’t it?” Emily turned towards the sky as a group of crows soared from their perches in the dark trees. “It’s getting dark, we should be heading back to the Gryffindor common rooms, unless you’d prefer to stay out by yourself a bit longer?”

Alaina trudged through the forest, trying to clear her head. Of course, the forest wasn't the best place to do that but she just came here because..well..because..she wanted to. No one would be here. Her clingy father had tried to call her twice now..and she didn't want to deal with it. Go bother somebody else..she wanted to tell him. But she couldn't. Not now. Not ever. It would hurt him. Maybe, she didn't want her father on top of her all the time, but she did have a heart.
Alaina nearly bumped into the two dark figures that were seemingly looming in the darkness of the forest. One. Two. Yup. There were two of them. Her eyes seemed to be surprisingly accustomed to the dark now, what, being in here for only about 20 minutes. She could make out two girls, both Gryffindor. Alaina had never gotten the whole make friends with whoever was in your own house. Why did it matter? She had wondered when she was told that. "Uhm...what are you two doing out here?" She asked.

Italia jumped in fright as she heard a voice behind her. As she quickly spun around, she noticed that the voice belonged to another Gryffindor. She heard her mention that the forest was a beautiful place, and that they should be getting back to the common room now. It was only then that she looked around her surroundings and, for the first time, noticed actually how pleasant and relaxing the area was. No longer did the trees loom over her head, instead they seemed to dance in the breeze. "Yeah, I've only just noticed how beautiful this place really is. It's hard to admit, but at first I found this place frightening. Even so, I do think we should go back to the common room, I've got revision for next week. What's your name? Mine's Italia."
Then she heard yet another person coming up towards them. As she turned to look at whoever it was, she had to squint, it was getting so dark, so fast! It was another Gryffindor. Surprisingly though, the first thing she said was 'What are you doing here?' "Well, I was just going for a wander, but I got lost and ended up here." she replied, hoping maybe this girl's heart would soften so they could be friends.

Emily, nodded hoping to have made a new friend, she loved making friends and meeting new people. “Yeah, it took me awhile to see its beauty too but once you find your way around this place and look nooks that you fall in love with, you’ll want to come back more and more!” Emily laughed, and her laugh was simple and short like wind chimes clanging in a soft breeze. “My name is Emily Lunette, you can call me Emily I never really had any nicknames, except for Em, but I never told anyone I didn’t like it because that’s what they all referred to me as. She laughed again at the effortless irony. She looked around the forest she was nervous that she had been talking too much. “It’s nice to meet you Italia.” She grinned, she was about to talk a bit more when she heard another voice join their conversation.
“Oh hello” she seemed a bit taken aback by the comment the newest member of their conversation had made. “We were just walking around like Italia said, just wandering” Emily smiled at her simple defese. Her mouth twisted into a mischievous, and playful grin “You know we could ask you the same question!” She giggled and looked back at the trees.

Alaina nodded at the girl who said she had gotten lost. "Well....it can't be that hard to get out of here..." She said. The other girl said something a little different. 'Just wandering around.' Huh. She raised an eyebrow when she said 'I could ask you the same question'. "Uh-huh..I guess you could. But I think I could come up with a much better answer then your 'just wandering around in the forest." Alaina retorted.
She crossed her arms and leaned back on her heels, a position that she usually took. She didn't do it purposefully, but it just kind of...happened. The earlier worries of her father and all that had went down vanished, now focused on the Gryffindor in front of her. Alaina frowned, waiting for the girl to respond. Hmm. Uh. What was the girl's name? Alaina didn't know. Oh right! She thought. She hadn't asked.

Italia heard the first kind Gryffindor that had helped her overcome her fear if the forest mention that her name was Emily. "Hi Emily. That's a really nice name!" Italia also realised that Emily was looking around at her surroundings a lot. 'Wow, I've never known anyone to feel so at home or even enjoy coming here.' she thought to herself in wonder.
The Gryffindor that hadn't at first seemed to be as friendly agreed with her that it was easy to get lost, but then seemingly criticised Emily for her explanation of them 'just wandering around' when Emily asked her what she was doing in the forest. However, Italia realised that the Gryffindor hadn't answered Emily's question. 'Maybe she feels uncomfortable about it...' she thought. Turning to face the Gryffindor, she smiled and said "Hi, my name's Italia, what's yours?" She hoped that they too could be friends.
Unexpectedly, Italia heard a soft whisper of someone casting Lumos, and spun around to see who it was. From what she could tell from the faint light of the spell, the caster was a female Hufflepuff. She introduced herself as Lemon, and seemed friendly enough. "Hi Lemon! I'm Italia!" Italia felt a rush of warmth as she greeted the Hufflepuff. She never thought she would be (hopefully) making so many friends in one night.
